title>The Ark - the building - overview

The Ark is designed to provide unique and flexible office accommodation, which creates a dramatic and pleasant environment for its occupants. The building provides approximately 13,663 sq m (147,068 sq ft) of office accommodation, over 9 floors plus Crow's Nest, with 1 level of basement car parking able to accommodate approximately 80 secure spaces. (see floor areas)

The imposing curved copper and glass form of the building is the result of an imaginative internal spatial arrangement, designed to provide a dramatic and pleasant environment for it's occupants. From it's narrow base, the floors 'flare' out as the building curves upwards.

The focus of the building is the central atrium which provides an over-riding impression of natural light and space. Movement through this space is via a series of walkways and glazed wall climber lifts. The atruim provides space for office support facilities, including a fitness & lifestyle centre, bar & restaurant and conference facilities.

The office environment provides flexible and versatile working space. The accommodation is air conditioned by a convective chilled ceiling system and office areas are provided with raised floors and suspended ceilings.

Situated on Talgarth Road, The ARK has unrivalled presence to the A4 - Great West Road and the District and Piccadilly tube lines. The location of the ARK allows direct access to the West End and City of London via road and rail, with excellent public transport connections provided by Hammersmith underground station and bus station interchange.
